The natural state of things is to open and close and open again; to always be becoming, never to become. Many of the works published in the zine look at this cycle of concealment / germination. They illustrate how common-place the action of (un)folding is and how we are transformed through its various movements.
(un)fold was published in December 2025. It gathers contributors who are scattered across countries. From Ireland to Paris, London to Berlin, Scotland to Laos, back to Italy and beyond. Limited print copies were sold in aid of Doctors Without Borders / Médecins sans frontières.
(un)fold is the third in a series of zines by GULLS Commune.
GULLS Commune zines are self-published, informal, and any profits from the sale of print copies are donated to charity. The point of them is just to remind us to make things, share ourselves with others, and get together when we can.
